Christmas Lights in the Portuguese Settlement, Melaka

Malaysia in December

Love seeing lights? Visit the Portuguese Settlement in Malacca, where you will be able to see magical Christmas decorations adorning the houses. The locals there spend a lot of time every year to decorate their houses and you can see how creative they are when the sun goes down that’s where the magic begins. Both adults and children alike will be awe in the beauty.

Date: 25 December – 31 December 2017
Location: Portuguese Settlement, Malacca

Light and Motion Putrajaya LAMPU

If it’s too far to travel to Melaka, you can head over to Putrajaya instead. Every year, from 30 December until 1 January, Putrajaya will be illuminated by a spectacular sound and light display projected on some of the city’s major landmarks. Imagine this as a miniature version of Hollywood with the public audience as the “actors” and “actresses” of the show and Putrajaya as the ‘giant screen’.

Among the main attractions is the Projection Mapping show. Expect the façade of Palace of Justice to be creatively “painted” in a multitude of colorful rays and images accompanied by sound and music, resembling a futuristic scene in a sci-fi movie. What’s even more special are the digital fireworks scheduled during New Year’s eve to usher into the New Year, 2018.

Date: 30 December 2017 to 1 January 2018
Time: 7.30 pm To 12.30 am
Location: Dataran Putrajaya, Precint 3, Putrajaya
