Join a hands-on Coffee Appreciation & Brewing Workshop

The first ever Malaysia Coffee Fest celebrates the nation’s growing coffee culture, featuring top-class baristas, local artisans and many activities.

Wesak Day 2017

Every year, Wesak Day is celebrated with temple visits, prayers, chants and special ceremonies. However, the best part of this is the grand procession in several major cities. At night, the streets are illuminated by colorful floats, accompanied by Buddhist devotees and eager onlookers.

Mabul World Turtle Day 2017

TurtleIn this outreach program, you can volunteer with the Borneo Marine Research Institute. You are able to assist the dive team as they catch, photograph, measure and tag turtles. This helps to enhance the education, research and conversation of the sea turtle population in Mabul.

Jom Makan – Pahang Food Fest

4th Sabah FCAS International Dragon Boat Race

The Dragon Boat Race is a long-standing Chinese tradition held alongside the Duan Wu Festival, which falls at the end of month. In Sabah, this event attracts many local and international dragon boat teams each year.

Watch the participants synchronise their paddling to the beat of the drum, speeding down the river. There will also be stalls selling local delicacies – be sure to try glutinous rice dumplings called “tzung-tzi”, which is traditionally cooked for this celebration.

Sabah Museum18 May has been designated as World Museum Day by the International Council of Museums (ICOM). For a few days, the public can visit Sabah Museum for free and even enjoy their special collections.
