If you see a dish with yellow noodles in Jenjarom, you can bet that it’s from Tim Fatt Noodles (復源興手工面家). The recipe has been in the family for over 60 years now, and the noodles are made by hand. The dough is kneaded with a large pin, turned into long strips, and parboiled in hot water.

Unlike commercially produced noodles, it doesn’t contain preservatives and does not leave a distinctive aftertaste. Freshly made each day, local restaurants get their supply of yellow noodles here. It can be taken in dry and wet version, even rojak sauce!

This stall in Jenjerom cooks traditional pastries fresh on the spot, and is particularly well-known for their fried you tiao, red bean bun and hot dessert soups. Try the garlic you tiao, which is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

But if you only have one thing off the menu, try their signature Kung Fu Pau. It comes with juicy and flavourful meat, along with a hard boiled egg in the centre.
