Gopeng, the adventure district of Perak, is not short of resorts, especially when you are looking for adrenaline-pumped packages. However, if you ask locals to suggest a place to stay here, chances are Adeline Villa & Rest House would pop up.
Being one of the oldest resorts in Gopeng, we were surprised by how understated it was, yet it was right at the tip of the tongue for many of our local friends.
Tucked amidst the rainforest and limestone hills, Adeline Villa is designed with the reimagining of a kampung, but with a modern and comfortable twist.
By Car: It is roughly 30 minutes from Ipoh, Perak’s capital city, and 2 hours away from Kuala Lumpur. There is an open space car park on the premises.
By Pick Up: There is a pick up and drop off service, which needs to be requested early. Park your car at the open space car park near Gopeng town, and be picked up. There will be a transfer charge of RM10 per pax for round trip.

Adrenaline Pumped Adventures
There is no leaving Gopeng without going wild and wet! Whitewater Rafting is pretty much a staple when you are in Gopeng. The grade of the waterfall is from I – III, which is beginner-friendly with enough drops to keep you excited.
You can also trek through the jungle to a gorgeous waterfall surrounded by lush rainforest, and challenge yourself by abseiling down the cascading waters. It’s not as difficult as it looks, but you have to trust yourself and the guide to make that first move!
Perak is famous for its limestone karsts, with many impressive caves to explore. Go caving in Gua Tempurung to see the marvels of nature etched in stone. There are several tours showing different wonders in the cave, from the breezy opening at the Top of the World, to the stream that runs through the cave.
If you are lucky enough to be around during the blooming of the Rafflesia, the guides here can take you trekking deeper into the rainforest where you can catch a glimpse of the Biggest Flower in the World.
