Interesting to see Malay enclave with the backdrop the view of Kuala Lumpur skyscrapper, another way to see Kg Baru (in very commercial way). Experienced and friendly guide -Fuad (even has sometime and has Malay delicacy). Recommended.

It was interesting seeing Kampung Baru from a local's point of view. Fascinating to see how the neighbourhood has managed to keep Malay traditions, with the modern KL surrounding it.

The host Fuad is so friendly and welcoming! Very professional and informative. The highlights of this tour is when Fuad brought us to his house, get to know his family and we had a good time together! His dad even offered to play guitar for us! So unforgettable!

Surrounded by concrete buildings of KL city, I am amazed how Kampung Baru still able to conserve the old Malay housing architectures and the cultures of living in community. I had fun touring the kampung with Mr Fuad (the 4th generation of Kampung Baru pioneer). Besides, I enjoyed the warm hospitality and tasty Malay delicacies at his home!

Fuad was a delight to have as a guide to learn more about Kampung Baru. Although I have been to KL, the stories that Fuad shared and the meanings behind the different structures found in the area provided me with greater insight to the history and lives of the people who lived in this area specifically. Bummed that I am not able to taste the many food and dessert recommendations by Fuad but once travel restrictions has eased I am convinced I should go there and try them myself! Thank you for the sharing and the walkabout made me feel that I was there too enjoying the sights! :)

We brought 30 of our students on a virtual visit to Kampung Baru recently and the students shared that they enjoyed learning more about an area in Kuala Lumpur that they never knew about and also learning more about the social history of the area from Mr Fuad. Although it was a virtual tour, Mr Fuad prepared food that is usually served to his guests to showcase it to the students and this allowed the students to experience the warm hospitality even if they don't have access to the food. :) This experience definitely provided a value-added experience for our students to learn more about Kampung Baru virtually especially during these times when we are not able to travel due to the existing travel restrictions.
