Itinerary

Bat Cave

The tour will started the at Kilim Jetty (or sometimes Tanjung Rhu jetty) where guests will be taken in a boat ride through the mangrove in Kilim river. The fist stop of the tour would be the Bat Cave where over there the guests will be given introduction about the mangrove; what it is, what its benefit to humans etc. Also the history of the limestone formation around that area will be told to the guests. then they will be taken into the cave to see the bats that would be hanging above of their head.

Fish Farm

We will go back into the boat to be taken to the second stop, which would be the fish farm. At the fish farm, we can see fishes like grouper, trevally, barramundi, coral fishes being fed by staff in charge. You can also try to hand feed the stingray yourselves at that fish farm.

Kayaking begins

Necessities such as life jackets, drinking water, paddle and waterproof bags will be given before we start kayaking, the guide will do the demonstration of how to kayak properly along with safety briefing. Then guests will go as pairs into each kayak and the paddling starts there.

Tanjung Rhu Mangrove & Mangrove tree planting (depends on availability)

The guide will take you into the mangrove forest, and try to spot wildlife or other unique feature of the area to the guests and explaining about them while stopping at certain spot. We will paddle around 4 or 5 kilometres until the eagle watching spot and if the season is right, the guide will try to look for mangrove fruit/seed and the guest will have the chance to plant one during low tide.

Lunch and goodbye

We will then go back to the fish farm to enjoy lunch before going back to Kilim Jetty, the exact same point where they started and thus the transport will be awaiting them at the jetty to take them back to their respective hotel around 3pm.

Outfit Recommendations

Wear swimwear under short pants and T-shirt (light clothing), sandals or flip-flops, hat or cap and to bring a towel and enough sun protection.

Poor weather plan

1. We can postpone the trip to the later afternoon
2. We can postpone the trip to the following day.
3. If we're already arrived at the jetty, we can send you to the nearby Wildlife Park (it got roof all over that place so u may steal some time by watching the animals there - you have to buy your own ticket though)
4. If we already arrived at the jetty, we will send you back to your hotel FOC after waiting there for an hour but still no luck with the weather.
