Trek into the jungle to see the treasured flower of Borneo - the Rafflesia.
The trek to the Rafflesia is near a little village about 12km from Gopeng, near Ipoh, Perak. To trek through the jungle to where the Rafflesia thrives, you need to engage the services of a Semai Orang Asli guide. Hilly and slippery, you would have to be really careful and climb up to hill. Halfway along the hill, you can already see and smell a Rafflesia. The endangered flower is the largest in the world and can only for about 4 to 5 days. We will then head to a butterfly area where you might catch a glimpse of many Rajah Brooke butterflies.
