Conquer the National Park with trekking, cycling and kayaking in this two-day sporting adventure.
The National Protected Area of Phou Khao Khouay is the nearest National Park to Vientiane, boasting beautiful scenery, waterfalls and scenic trails. The forested areas are home to rare animals like the Sun Bear, tiger, elephant and tropical butterflies.
On the first day, we will be transferred from Vientiane to Ban Hatkhai. Once here, we will start cycling to Tad Xay Waterfall, lined with the serene landscapes along the Nam Mang River. We will have a picnic lunch at the waterfall and have a dip in the cooling water. After our rest, we will trek under the forest canopy to our kayaking point, where we will row away to Ban Hatkhai. You will stay in a local homestay here.
On the second day, we will be transferred to the Tad Leuk Waterfall. The Tad Leuk is a local tourist attraction amidst the mixed deciduous forest. We will have lunch here. In the afternoon, we will trek along the Nam Leuk to the Tad Sang Waterfall (Elephant Waterfall). Along the way, a large number of orchids can be seen, especially during the wet season. From here, we return to Vientiane by songthaew.
