Luang Prabang Exploration
Starts at 8.30am // Ends at 4.30pm Approximately: 2 hours transfer & 5 hours sight seeing Visit the former Royal Palace Museum, once the home of King Sisavangvong during the French colonialism. It features royal chambers, throne room, as well as displays like paintings and royal cars. Our next stop is Wat Xieng Thong, known as the most beautiful temple in Luang Prabang. After this, we will head to Wat Visoun temple, built by King Visounnarath in 1513. After lunch, we will learn about Lao textile art at the Ock Pop Tok Centre, where you can also get some elegant souvenirs, which also support local artisans. Our next stop is a gorgeous natural gem close to the city - the breathtaking Kuang Xi Waterfall, dotted by sapphire pools filled with friendly fishes. You would want to take a dip here! There is a rescue centre for bears where you can learn about the efforts taken to protect rescued bears from poachers and traffickers. We end our journey at Wat Phousi - amidst the wondrous views of Luang Prabang city.
