Kayak to the Tomb of 19th century French Explorer, Henri Mouhot, listen to the stories of his contribution of the discovery of Angkor Wat. Visit the traditional weaving village of Ban Phanom.

Starts 8.30am Ends 5.00pm - Depart Luang Prabang for a drive to the starting point on the banks of the Nam Khan, at the village of Ban Suanluang. - Learn the basics of kayaking and practice with our experienced guides before heading down the river. - Kayak downstream to the Tad Sae Waterfall. Its limestone cascades with florescent turquoise pools between the trees offer a stunning sight. - Enjoy a Lao-style lunch and take a swim at Tad Sae waterfalls. - Continue paddling though beautiful landscape around 2 ½ hours until reaching the Tomb of 19th century French Explorer, Henri Mouhot, a natural scientist was the first European to rediscover Angkor Wat and traveled all the way to Luang Prabang. - (optional) Visit the traditional weaving village of Ban Phanom before heading back to Luang Prabang Approximately: 1 hour transfer / 5 hours kayaking
