The Pak Ou Caves are among the most revered holy sites in Laos! Situated amongst the limestone cliffs, these caves are spilt in two, Tham Ting and Tham Theung. They are both filled with thousands of Buddha images and statues which have been deposited here over centuries, culturally and historically seen as the most significantcave. A river trip on the Mekong to this famous attraction near Luang Prabang offers a pleasant boat cruise that combines a visit of the culturally important caves with a superb day out amongst the fabulous riverside landscapes and local villages.

– Depart from our office and take a short walk to the boat pier.
– Board the boat and begin cruising along the amazing Mekong : take in the idyllic scenes of rural riverside life and spectacular scenery
– Arrive at and explore the beautiful Pak Ou Caves
– Visit the nearby village of Ban Xang Hai : famous of producing clay jars used to ferment Lao wine, also specialising in producing a wide range of ‘Lau Lao’ Lao whisky and ‘Lau Hai’ Lao wine
– Return to Luang Prabang
