Itinerary
Day 1
Kuala Terengganu
Meet and transfer at Kuala Terengganu Airport or Bus Terminal, proceed to City Tour. Drive along State Mosque, Maziah Palace, Bukit Puteri (Princess Hill), Waterfront, the ‘long roof’ Chinatown, visit Chinatown and colourful Central Market.
Visit a unique boat building at the fishing village of Duyung Island (beautifully squeeze in the middle of Terengganu River mouth). At the headland of Duyung Island, there is a fine view of Kuala Terengganu. then proceed to State Museum (the largest museum in Malaysia with outdoor and indoor museum). Continue to Crystal Mosque located at Islamic Civilisation Park at Pulau Wan Man for photo stop. The Park is a collection of 22 Islamic inspired architectural structures replica. Lunch at local restaurant. Drive through Batu Buruk Beach, Floating Mosque and visit Batik factory to see the process of Terengganu batik painting. Transfer to hotel, check-in and rest of the day, free at leisure. Check-in time at 2.00pm. (L)
Day 2
Setiu Wetland
Breakfast. Depart from hotel at 09:00am. Drive along costal road enjoys the scenic view of the Malaysia longest beach and South China Sea dotted with colourful fishing boat. Arrival Setiu Wetland, Cruise up to River.
Cruise along mangrove swamp river, you will be greeted by wild animals like monitor lizard, crabs, colourful birds and sometime eagles. Visit fish farm and oyster farm. Walk along the board walk along the mangrove forest, replanting mangrove trees.
13:30pm - Lunch. Proceed to Malaysia most picturesque and exotic fishing village Kg Penarik, walk around the fishing village witness the life style of the fisherman and visit Terrapuri Heritage Village, Terengganu classic palaces. The Terengganu traditional house known as rumah bujang berserambi, (stand-alone house with veranda) has features strikingly similar to Cambodian and Thai houses, such as a raised platform on stilts, a generally triangular shape, steep gabled roofs, gently curved gable ends, rhomboid-shaped terracotta roof tiles, and timber panel walls slotted into grooved frames. Amazingly, not a single nail is used. Instead, the whole structure is fitted together using wooden joints held in place by pasak (wooden pegs). Transfer back to hotel at 16:00pm. Free at leisure.
Day 3
Kuala Terengganu - Check Out
Breakfast, free at leisure until pick up from hotel for the transfer to Kuala Terengganu Airport or Bus Terminal for your onwards journey. Latest check-out time from hotel at 12.00nn. (B)
