Explore the royal town of Kuala Kangsar, Perak and the cultural heritages she conceals.
Kuala Kangsar is the cultural cradle of Perak, and has been the home to Perak’s royal family since the 18th century. Overshadowed by the neighbouring Ipoh and Taiping, the sleepy town hides a treasure trove of hidden cultural heritages that define Malaysia's culture today.
In this experience, we will venture through the heritage town, and meet craftsmen that have kept their traditions alive such as the keris maker, golden thread weavers, iron craftsmen, tengkolok headdress maker, labu sayong potters (you can even try moulding one), and kekabu cotton makers. We'll also visit some of the landmarks around town, and have delicious local food.
