Experience the ceramic pottery wheel throwing in Ipoh's traditional pottery factory.
Ipoh was once well known for ceramic pottery, wood-fired in dragon kilns. This traditional craft declined along with the increased use of modern machinery, but some artisans still continue using this old-fashioned method for generations. There are less than 20 factories left in Ipoh.
Join Fatt Gor as you wander through the factory, filled with pottery and memorabilia. The dragon kilns are a sight on its own, as they are the longest kilns in Malaysia. You will have also the chance to learn pottery wheel throwing under the guidance of Fatt Gor, within an old-world scene in Ipoh.
I would pick you up from VR Star (Lot 4797, Jalan Kuala Kangsar, 30010 Ipoh, Negeri Perak).

Lovely experience with Fatt gor and Hing gor. 2 hours of hands on experience with the two friendly guides and we learnt so much about the kiln and and the industry. You can try making non-stop and you get to bring home one best art piece of yours. Wish to go again.
