Experience the ceramic pottery wheel throwing in Ipoh's traditional pottery factory.
Ipoh was once well known for ceramic pottery, wood-fired in dragon kilns. This traditional craft declined along with the increased use of modern machinery, but some artisans still continue using this old-fashioned method for generations. There are less than 20 factories left in Ipoh.
Join Fatt Gor as you wander through the factory, filled with pottery and memorabilia. The dragon kilns are a sight on its own, as they are the longest kilns in Malaysia. You will have also the chance to learn pottery wheel throwing under the guidance of Fatt Gor, within an old-world scene in Ipoh.
Pottery making experience
Take a look around the factory which has been around for generations. After a brief demonstration, you will be seated at a wheel and given the opportunity to create a series of vessels. Fatt Gor will prepare the clay and assist you when you require guidance.
I would pick you up from Toyota center.
