Hunt for the giant Rafflesia flower or pitcher plants, explore intricate cave structures and top it off with an insider’s tour of the Begu Village; including their village farms, all in a day's time.
Kampung Begu is an agricultural village located in a valley surrounded by mountains covered with virgin jungles. Due to ample and fertile flat land, villagers choose to cultivate there, leaving the jungles of the mountains untouched. Part of the landscape is rocky and flooded when it's raining, providing a perfect environment for the Rafflesias (the world largest flower) to grow.
Kampung Begu is really the jack-of-all-trades among the villages we have visited and collaborated with. If you ever come to Kampung Begu, you should expect to find: a small waterfall, Taang & Bedoh cave, Rafflesia breeding site, the mysterious blue spring.
