Nature's wonders await you at Bagan Datuk, from seeing the beach glow in the dark like fallen stars, to strolling on a mind-blowing sky mirror, watching fireflies and digging for clams.
Bagan Datuk is a small town in Perak that is home to many natural phenomenons and traditions. By day, you can enjoy fishing village traditions, pose at the Sky Mirror and watch the sunset as the eagles soar around you. By night, you can see stars in the sky, on a firefly cruise and beneath the water, as well as two owl species that live in this town.
Sky Mirror is mysterious beach where the sky reflects the shallow waters on the beach, similar to Bolivia's Salar de Uyuni. Let your creativity and photography skills run free as you create previous and unforgettable memories with loved ones. What about those fallen stars? This is caused by a phenomenon called Blue Tears, when bio-luminescent plankton washed ashore creates a fantasy-like experience few get to witness. You will also get to go on a firefly cruise, go clam (lala) digging, visit a fishing village.
Meet at Jeti Bagan Datuk and check in
Eagle Watching, Fireflies Watching & Blue Tears
We will head out to sea to enjoy 3 beautiful natural attractions. Watch eagles majestically soar around you as the golden sun sets at Bagan Datuk.
Then we will wait till the sky gets darker to see the blue tears shimmering in sea. When there is no moon, you'll see the blue tears sparkling even brighter.
Next we will head to the mangrove forest to see fireflies twinkling at night. If weather permits, you can see a sky full of stars and bushes full of Bagan Datuk's own 'Christmas lights'!
Tuck in to a seafood dinner where we will prepare both steamboat and BBQ style, so you can taste the best of the sea.
