Pulau Ketam is a unique island where cars and roads are non-existent. The main transportation are motorcycles, bikes and boats. Their roads and walking paths are built on stilts over tidal mudflats.
Embark to Pulau Ketam on a 30-45 minute boat ride from Port Klang. Relinquish in the panoramic view of the busy harbour and surrounding mangrove swamps. Enjoy a flavoursome seafood lunch at a local restaurant. Don't forget to order a plate of Black Pepper Crab and oyster omelette!
After lunch, we will catch the ferry to return to Port Klang and proceed to the glorious Sultan Selangor Palace, Sultan Salahuddin Mosque, and Thean Hou Temple before concluding the tour.
Meet and greet at the hotel and proceed to Port Klang for ferry to Pulau Ketam
Depart Kuala Lumpur for Port Klang in an hour – Malaysia’s busiest port. The 30 minute ferry ride offers a panoramic view of the busy harbour and the mangrove swamps of nearby islands. On arrival at Pulau Ketam, take a leisurely stroll to see how an entire fishing community lives in a village where even the roads are build on stilts. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
Take a ferry back to Port Klang then proceed for next visits
Photo-stop at the Selangor Sultan Palace or Istana Alam Shah the official palace of the Sultan of Selangor, located in southern Klang, the royal town of the state of Selangor, Malaysia.
Next, visit the Sultan Salahuddin Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque. Capped by one of the largest religious domes in the world , the mosque occupies about 36 acres of beautiful parkland surrounded by the Municipal Council Tower, State Library, State Museum and the Lake Gardens.
Proceed to Thean Hou Temple before we conclude our tour for the day.
