The secrets of Penang cuisine are yours to grab! This hands-on cooking class will touch on various popular local dishes across all ethnicities; Malay, Chinese and Indian. You will learn to cook a total of 3 dishes from scratch, along with the spices that go into each recipe. Some of the food you may cook include Nasi Lemak, Penang Laksa, Lentil/Dhall Curry, Onde Onde and more.
Located in Leigh Street, we are literally in the centre of all the heritage attractions in Georgetown, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hence, it is super convenient to stop by other local attractions. I will also be talking about the history of every dish and even of Penang itself, so you'll learn not only of Penang cooking but history as well.
Don't worry about dinner plans after this class, because trust me, you will leave stuffed and re-energized!
Do let me know in advance of any dietary requirements or allergies.
Please wear comfortable clothings.
We are located along the same street as the Cheong Fat Si or the Chocolate Museum. Also, we right opposite the Benggali Mosque, the second oldest mosque in Georgetown.
