Learn to Draw and Paint Batik

Our local experts will see you through a batik demonstration, and will educate you on the history and background of Batik arts. You will learn how to be the master of the tjanting (Batik canting knife pen) to express yourself through your creative designs.

Our instructors will teach you how to sketch your own designs, ranging from floral patterns, butterflies, or cute animals!

Once you have your designs, you will learn how to control the intensity of your colours. For special effects, you could even give your art a translucent effect by the simple trick of adding a few droplets of water over your material before painting.

By the end of the course, you will be the proud owner of your own Batik art piece to commemorate your visit to our gallery!
