It is surrounded by a broad 190 m wide moat, is 1.5 km long by 1.3 km wide. The temple itself is 330 m by 260 m, has three levels and 5 major towers. In side the temple, on the walls are covered with base reliefs depicting Hindu Mythology and the war during king Suryavaraman II’s reign. Furthermore, Angkor Wat is well known for more than 2,000 Apsara dancers decorating the temple. Today, Angkor Wat is figured on Cambodia’s national flag as the temple symbolizes the soul of Cambodian. The climb to the top level is very steep but an absolute must (you need shoulders covered and knee level pants/skirt).
