If you are an enthusiast or a hobbyist who is interested the production of handwoven Songket, this programme is perfect for you. This boutique Songket atelier gives you the chance to work on your own loom and produce fabric bearing your own design.

The programme involves teaching of the basics of Songket hand weaving, followed by supervision and mentoring by one of our artisans from when you start to design your piece until you complete it!

Day 1

Meet at Tanoti House, Kuching. Learn the theory of the songket weaving process

Produce your own design and learn how to input your design onto graph work


Day 2


09:00 AM

Spend the next 4 days weaving your own piece of songket fabric.

You will be supervised and mentored by a dedicated Tanoti artisan.

Final day of your programme.
