Muar has a rich heritage and is believed that its history started much earlier than the Sultanate of Malacca which witness the rise and fall of the empire. It is famous for its significant buildings that have been around since 1800s. Hence, contrast with modern buildings, there are number of distinctive elements.
Trip begins at Jalan Meriam, explain on Muar architecture style and building. Straits Eclectic Buildings, one of the significant sights in Muar. Slowdown your footsteps and take a good look at the fine carvings on the doors and pillars of these buildings. We will introduce various birthplace of Malaysian Chinese at Jalan Abudullah and share Muar History, culture of chettier and story of coolies back in the days. Lastly, we will visit Muar Hainan Association.
Admire the 10 metre Muar Town View built by Lego Brick and experience DIY Otak Session
You will learn how to DIY wrap otak-otak (spicy fish paste wrapped in banana leaf) in attap lead, bake and taste. We will show you how to make it in a quick, simple and easy way.
There was a group of Lego enthusiasts from Muar has used the colourful toy bricks to build models of historical buildings to remind people of the importance of preserving the country’s architectural heritage. You will get to see the replica pre-war houses made from Lego pieces.

Given that Muar is the Royal town in Johor, it's not surprising to know that this town brags about many local foods. We will bring you to the local coffee shop to taste the traditional set of toasted Hainan bread and half-boiled eggs.
