This trip brings you a great time through the woods in the mountainous forest, a relaxing and therapeutic swim by the Kuangsi waterfalls (the most famous waterfalls in the country), a cultural-learning experience in several Hmong and Khmu villages, and a Lao-style lunch amidst the picturesque setting. You may also visit the Bear Conservation Center, home to the bears rescued from illegal farms.

Luang Prabang > Ban Long Lao > Kuangsi Waterfall
Starts at 8.30am Ends at 5.00pm - Depart from Green Discovery Laos office - Arrive at ethnic Khmu village of Ban Longlao Neung : expose and immerse yourself in the Khmu culture - Head to the nearby Hmong village of Ban Longlao Song : learn the Hmong culture, observe the differences and witness the interaction between two culturally different ethnic groups - Start trekking on the trail that leads us through the rice paddy and vegetable fields - Trek into the mountainous forest and explore the cave known for being the bomb shelter during the Second Indochina War - Resume trekking until we reach the springs that feed the Kuangsi Waterfall. Here, you may stimulate your senses to the sounds of the water and watch the fishes swimming in the clear springs. - Enjoy a Lao-style lunch with the company of the gushing sounds of the waterfalls, and the occasional "blurp" from the fishes - After lunch, feel free to have a relaxing swim in the beautiful turquoise pool at the foot of Kuangsi - Visit the Bear Conservation Center, the home to many bears rescued from illegal farms - Transfer back to Luang Prabang Approximately: 2 hours driving, 4 hours trekking
